Ocular Prosthetic Services Available at Anderson’s Optique, Inc.

Our Services include:

• Complete in-house fitting and on-premises manufacturing of custom hand-painted artificial eye (ocular prosthesis).
• Custom fitting of the prosthesis to the socket and lid.
• Hand painting of the iris and sclera to match that of the patient.
• Follow-up to make sure that any of the settling of the socket or other tissues is compensated for (included for one year in our initial fee).
• Fitting and manufacture of cosmetic shells with and without optics.
• Polishing, cleaning, and yearly service of ophthalmic prosthesis.
• Reductions and shape changes for artificial eyes.
• Custom shaped acrylic conformers and devices.
• Retouching of iris, veins, scleral color etc of artificial eyes.
• Socket and lid re-shaping by the progressive enlargement of custom conformers.
• Scleral lenses and conformers and artificial eyes with special groves or other configurations for the management of entropion or ptosis.
• Fitting of prosthesis to hydroxyapatite, Allen, sphere, buried mesh or any other implants.
• Enlargements and reductions. (It is not always necessary to make a complete new eye just because the existing eye is too small, large, etc. because they can be enlarged and/or reduced in size.)
• Color touch-ups are also possible.
• Patient or accompanying relative will be given instructions on the care, cleaning and hygiene of their prosthetic eye.

All plastics are fully heat/pressure cured of the highest quality ocularist or highest quality ADA dental plastic.  ABSOLUTELY NO COLD CURE PLASTIC IS USED.
